FELICITATION CEREMONY HONOURING MERITORIOUS STUDENT
        The second felicitation programme for the meritorious students of different external examination was held on 2nd August, 2009. The meritorious students of Middle school & High school scholarship, Homibhabha Balvaigyanik,Cambridge and Drawing Grade (passed with ‘A’ grade) examinations were felicitated for their excellent performance and achievements. The function was graced by Hon.Mr.Indrajeet.Sawant, a well known Industrialist. One hundred and three students were honored with medals, cash prizes and certificates. The felicitation programme  commenced at 10 a.m.in the hall of the new building with prayer and welcome song, followed by welcome speech and introduction of chief guest by Mr. Anil, Pendharkar, an active member of VPM’s Governing council. Mrs.Pratima.Chawla & Mrs.Uma.Naik anchored the function in English and Marathi respectively.

    “It is general belief that school is an Institution where prescribed syllabus is taught. But VPM’s Vidya Mandir is a famous Institution which toils for ‘all round development’ of a child and makes them perfect individuals to face the world.” Remarked the chief guest, Mr.Indrajeet Sawant, while congratulating the students on this occasion. While expressing her gratitude on behalf of all the parents, Mrs.Archana.Vartak stated, “Teacher’s job is like potter’s job and school is like potter’s wheel. We as parents handover our moulds of clay in the hands of these potters who also have to do the job of the gardeners. They make them bloom. While parent’s job is that of an artist.” She as a parent and an artist is quite satisfied and happy that she has handed over her mould of clay to the best teachers.

          The teachers, who always support, motivate and guide the students also congratulate their twinkling stars. “Stronger the emotional bond between a teacher and a student, easier is the learning process. This is the reason that successes of students bring more happiness to their teachers.” Remarked Mrs.Pratima Chawla, the teacher, English Primary Section.
Sixteen teachers were also honored on this occasion. Mrs. Jagruti.Save. AHM, English Secondary Section paid the vote of thanks.
