This year’s Prize Distribution Ceremony was certainly ‘special’ for Vidya Prasarak Mandal community. We are in our Golden Jubilee year and our very own past student (1982 batch), Mr. Suhas G. Naik, C. O. O., IL&FS Ltd. presided over the function:
Suhas’s wife Mrs. Swati Naik and his mother Mrs. Radhika Naik honoured our invitation and also graced the occasion.
It was a nostalgic moment for Suhas and his teachers alike. Many of his batch-mates also attended the function and this made the reunion truly memorable.
In his speech, Suhas praised the talented students for their performances and briefly highlighted the opportunities for the Indian Student, post liberalization. He entreated the talented students of Vidya Mandir to make most of this atmosphere which is conducive to success and personal growth. He was confident that an ex-VM student would be apt to take on the challenge.
On this occasion, Shri Suhas Naik promised to do his best and to play an active role in t
he development of the school.
It was a matter of pride for the students to receive their prizes from such a distinguished guest who had just helped inspire confidence and hope in their minds. 
Needless to say that such moments assure and encourage us in our work and the thought that a good many of our past students have excelled in their careers, is really a comforting and fulfilling one.
