Felicitation Ceremony Honouring Meritorious Students


Felicitation ceremony for meritorious students of SSC- March 2010 was held on 27th June, 2010 at 5.30 p.m. in the hall of new building. Ninety seven students were felicitated for their excellent performance and achievements in SSC Board Examination March-2010.

The function was graced by Hon. Mr. Yashwant M Devasthali, Director, Finance, L & T Ltd. The students, who secured 85% and above were honored with cash prizes and certificates. The sincere efforts of the students and the parents was recognized and felicitated by Vidya Prasarak Mandal.

The felicitation programme was commenced with prayer and welcome song, followed by welcome speech and introduction of chief guest by Mr. Vasuki Haranhalli, an active member of VPM’S governing council. The function was anchored by our teachers Mrs. Usha Shimoga and Mr. Sudhir Desai in English and Marathi respectively.

The chief guest congratulated the students for their excellent performance. He also congratulated the teachers and the parents not only for the achievements but for moulding the students the right way. “India will go on developing and the whole world will look at India. You will be able to fulfill your dreams in your own country. No need to go to America. Be innovative because you have that quality and capability.” advised, Mr.Y.M Devsthali. He asked the students to live the life with simplicity and humanity. He acknowledged the students ability and gifted them the motto to climb the ladder of success-“Never say NO to the work assigned to you, say I will do it.”

Mr. Gangurdey and Mr. Nare, the parents of first rank holders of both the sections expressed their gratitude towards school on behalf of all the parents. Hence, Mr. J S Salunkhe acknowledged the selfless efforts of the teachers on this day and asked the students to recognize and reciprocate even in future.

“To imagine a school without teachers is as impossible as to live without being born. Teachers are the real idols in the temple of knowledge.” Said, Ms.Gauri Nare, the first rankholder of English Medium. Mrs. Varsha Padvale and Mrs.Nilima Khadatkar congratulated their twinkling stars and future ambassadors on behalf of all the teachers. They motivated them for their future Endeavour’s. The programme was concluded with vote of thanks by Head Master Mr. D K Wagh.
