सुवर्णसंधी

आपल्या शाळेतील माजी विद्यार्थ्यांना आणि शिक्षकांना भेटण्याची सुवर्णसंधी ह्या कार्यक्रमामुळे मिळणार आहे. हेमंत आवळसकर शाळेचे माजी विद्यार्थी असून ह्या कार्यक्रमामुळे माजी विद्यार्थ्यांचे एक अनौपचारिक संमेलनच जणू भरणार आहे. कार्यक्रमास आपण अवश्य उपस्थित रहावे ही विनंती. कार्यक्रम विनामूल्य आहे.

निरोप समारंभ 2009 -10

शनिवार दि.6 फेब्रुवारी 2010 रोजी इ. 10 वी मराठी/ इंग्रजी माध्यमांचा निरोप समारंभ संपन्न झाला. या कार्यक्रमांचे अध्यक्षपद वि.प्र.मं चे श्री. जगदीश साळुंखे यांनी स्वीकारले. इ. 10 वीच्या एकूण आठ तुकड्या असून साधारणपणे 500 विद्यार्थी उपस्थित होते. ही तुकड्यांमधील प्रत्येकी एका प्रतिनिधीने आपले मनोगत व्यक्त केले. या सर्व कार्यक्रमाचे सूत्र संचालन इ.10 वी च्या विद्यार्थीनी कु. पुरुष्णी मांजरेकर व कु. विदुला पाटील यांनी केले मराठी माध्यमिक विभागाच्या सौ. निलीमा खडतकर यांनी मार्गदर्शनपर भाषण केले तसेच अध्यक्ष साळुंखे सर व मुख्याध्यापक श्री. वाघ सर यांनी विद्यार्थ्यांना आशीर्वाद देऊन मार्गदर्शनपर भाषण केले. सौ. जोगी मॅडम यांनी कार्यक्रमाचे आभार प्रदर्शन केले.

याच दिवशी इ. 5 वी ते 9 वी च्या विद्यार्थ्यांचा तिळगुळ समारंभ संपन्न झाला.

Send off speech

Friends, today our minds are full of curiosity as in coming few months we will be entering a whole new world. But, we are little sad as our school, our lovely teachers and our dear friends will be left behind.

Education plays a key role in modifying an individual’s personality. It is like a basic necessity of every individual. I firmly, believe that the knowledge and values inculcated in us will surely help us in the long run. V.P.M’s VIDYA MANDIR, DAHISAR this name aptly suits to our school, as our school really is a temple of knowledge. The students of our school are not only excelling in studies but also show casing their abilities in sports, dramatics and arts. Our school safeguards our rich culture by organizing cultural programmes or by celebrating our traditional festivals like Haldi Kunku, Aashadi, Ekadashi etc. Patriotism is imbibed on our young minds by celebrating Independence day and Republic Day with great zeal. As students we should be proud to be a part of this institution.

Teacher is knowledge of treasure. She is a cool breeze of pleasure, the love and affection showed by her is impossible to measure. And therefore a teacher is rightly called as second mother of a child. Our school is gifted by efficient and affectionate teachers who help us in all round development of our personality. I remember an old English saying “when life happens to be dark, God sends an angel who lits up the candle and show us the path”. But I would like to modify this a bit “when life happens to be dark, God sends our teachers as angels who lit up our path, show us the way and also accompany us throughout the journey.”

They are like those potters who have moulded and given proper shape to our personality by recognizing our inner capabilities and channelising them in proper directions.

X std is crucial stage of our life it is not the ultimate goal but is one of the most important aim to be achieved. Failure and success are two sides of same coin. I remember an old Marathi saying-
"मराठीत एक जुनी म्हण आहे, जर आपणास यश मिळाले तर त्या यशानी एवढे हुरळून जाऊ नये की आपणच आपल्या हातांनी भविष्याचे दरवाजे बंद करुन घेऊ. परंतु जर आपणास अपयश मिळाले तर एवढे ही दु:खी होऊ नये की भवितव्यच्या दिशेने वाटचाल करणेच अशक्य होईल?"

Life is a long journey and X STD is one of the milestone which we will be passing very soon. So I wish you luck and hope you all will come up with flying colours and take our school’s name to pinnacle of its glory. Today, in front of me, I can see the future efficient doctors and surgeons, brave army officers, intelligent, scientists, talented artists and well versed writers and poets. So in future I would like to see you all not only as good persons but also great personalities.

Last but not the least I would like to thank our all teachers for being so much supportive and friendly throughout the years. I would like to request you all to give them a big round of applause.

RESIDENTIAL CULTURAL CAMP

DATE : 23RD & 24TH JANUARY, 2010.

VENUE: VPM’S VIDYA MANDIR, DAHISAR.

PARTICEPENTS: STUDENTS OF STD.IV, MARATHI & ENGLISH PRIMARY SECTION.

Residential cultural camp was the highlight of the IV std. Students’ life. The new hall had been decorated with curtains and garland, proverbs and decorative articles. The idols of Goddess Saraswati , the Tulsi Vrindavan , all were in place to make the atmosphere auspicious.

We were indeed fortunate to have Dr. Prasad Karnik, expert in the field of zoology as our chief guest. In his inspiring speech, he told the students to have clean and green environment. He enthralled the students by telling them interesting stories about our surrounding.

In ‘wise parenting ‘session, the parents were listening to yet another speech by Dr. Prasad Karnik. He urged the parents to spend quality time with their wards. He also told them to spot hidden qualities of their children and to boost their creativity and originality.

During the craft session, the students were taught to make five different flowers, leaves with colourful kite papers by Mrs. Namita. Shenoy and Mrs. Meena Das.

In the evening, the hall was lit with diyas, the air made fragrant and the evening prayer commenced.

A highly enjoyable story telling session ensued with Mr.Shashikant Patil.

After dinner, the much awaited film ‘Tenali Rama’ was shown to the children. All were very happy to watch the film.

The next day, the children assembled in the hall for Morning Prayer and exercises. Mrs. Shenoy, a P.T. instructor and yoga expert took charge for about an hour.

Several grandparents were seen arriving for the next session. They were delighted to be the part of the value inculcation camp with their grand children. Some of them shared their experiences and stories to the children.

Lot of efforts were taken in making the programme a grand success. Hence, a suitable vote of thanks was given at the culmination of the camp. The residential cultural camp will always remain in the memories of students and all parents.

दि. 13 फेब्रुवारी 2010 या दिवशी शिक्षक संघटनेच्या शिक्षक स्नेह मेळाव्यानिमित्त होणा-या कार्यक्रमात आपल्या विद्यामंदिरचे माननीय मुख्याध्यापक 'श्री. दिगंबर के. वाघ' यांना 'शिक्षक मित्र' पुरस्कार देऊन सन्मानित करण्यात आले.

61st Republic Day

 

The Republic day was celebrated on a grand scale by all the sections of Vidya Prasarak Mandal on DSF ground. Hon.Shri Vinod Ghosalkar. MLA presided over the function. Hon. Shri. Anilkumar Karkhanis. Asst. Administrator, Indian Law Service

was the Chief Guest. Hon.Shri Bhalchandra. Mhatre, well known corporator was the guest of honour. Flag hoisting was followed by the parade and cultural programmes like patriotic songs, dances, lazim and speech.

ENLGHTENED MINDS Volume VII, the students’ magazine made by the students of English secondary Section and ‘AMRUTVANI ’ made by the students of ‘ Marathi Vangmay Mandal ‘ were inaugurated by the chief guest.

All the programmes including parade were appreciated. The students paid their highest tribute to our martyrs by their dance, ‘Ae mere watan ke logo’

Have bagged consolation prize of Rs. 1000 in the Drawing Competition organised by Brihan Mumbai Mahanagarpalika,Education Department. The topic was ‘Mazi Mumbai.’ Around 40000 students all over Mumbai participated in the competition and 110 won the prizes. The students were felicitated by the Mayor of Mumbai Mrs. Shraddha Jadhav on 23rd January, 2010.

हे एक आत्मचरित्र आहे, पुस्तकाच्या मुखपृष्ठावरील चित्रावरूनच स्त्रियांच्या गळचेपीची कल्पना येते. अफगाण कायम अशांत देश. 1955 पासून स्वार्थी अफगाण राजकारण्यांनी रशियाशी संधान साधून रशियन सैन्य अफगाणात घुसविले, त्याला प्रतिकार करण्यासाठी अमेरिकेने आपले सैन्य पाठविले. या दोन महासत्तांच्या लढ्यात अफगाण जनता भरडली जात असताना तालिबानने दहशतवादी पाय पसरायला सुरुवात केली. हिंस्त्र तालिबानीच्या कृत्याने जनता होरपळून गेली. स्त्रियांच्या मुलभूत अधिकारावर, स्वातंत्र्यावर गदा आली. स्त्रियांच्या या दारुण परिस्थिती विरुद्‌ध लढा देण्यास उभी राहिली विशीतली एक तरुणी - मीना. तिने अफगाणमधील सुशिक्षित स्त्रियांना एकत्रित करुन ‘ रावा ’ नावाची सामाजिक प्रबोधन करणारी संघटना स्थापन केली. या संघटनेचे भूमिगत कार्य सुरू केले. याचबरोबर राजकीय स्वातंत्र्याविषयी झेन संघटना निर्माण केली. बुध्दिजीवी पुरुषांनी भूमिगत कार्य सुरू केले. त्यात अनेक नेत्यांना तुरुंगात जावे लागे. जीवावर उदार होऊन कार्य चालू होते. यांतच मीनाचा विवाह डॉ. फैस बरोबर झाला तो ही माओवादी असून भूमिगत कार्य करणारा होता. त्यामुळे सतत दोघेही एकमेकांपासून दूरच असत. हे कार्य चालू असताना ओसामा - बिन - लादेनचा अफगाणमध्ये हस्तक्षेप झाला. त्यामुळे तेथील जनतेची न भूतो न भविष्यति अशी दुरवस्था दहशतवादी कारवायांमुळे झाली. या दहशतवादी हल्ल्यात वयाच्या 30 व्या वर्षी मीना मारली गेली.

मुक्तीची किंमत कशी चुकवावी लागते हे प्रभावीपणे जाणवून देणारे आणि प्रत्येकानेच वाचावे असे हे पुस्तक आहे.

माझी मुंबई

जेथे असते सगळ्यास उभारी

मुंबई हा शब्द उच्चारला की प्रत्येकाच्या मनात जागतो

तो मराठी बाणा. मुंबईत राहणारा कोणीही असो पंजाबी, बंगाली, गुजराती पण त्या प्रत्येकालाच मुंबईत राहिल्याने समजते ती मराठी भाषा.  मुंबईत अनेक धर्माचे, अनेक प्रांतातील लोक राहतात. मुंबईमध्ये विविधतेत एकता आहे.
मुंबई म्हणजे जिथे प्रत्येकालाच उडण्यासाठी पंख मिळतात. मुंबईत स्वातंत्र्यानंतर अनेक उद्योगधंदे प्रस्थापित झाले. स्वातंत्र्यानंतर मुंबईची आर्थिक प्रगती अतिशय झपाट्याने झाली.  मुंबईला भारताची आर्थिक राजधानी म्हणतात. मुंबईत ऐतिहासिक वास्तू, नैसर्गिक ठिकाणे, प्रेक्षणीय स्थळे, ग्रंथालये, महाविद्यालये इत्यादी वास्तू आहेत. प्रिन्स ऑफ वेल्स सारखी ब्रिटीशकालीन संग्रहालयेही आहेत. गेट वे ऑफ इंडियासारखी महत्त्वाची वास्तूदेखील मुंबईत आहे. त्यामुळे मुंबई हा शब्द उच्चारला की आपल्या डोळ्यासमोरून तरळून जाते ते मुंबईचे असे विविधांगी व्यक्तिमत्त्व !
याच विविधांगी व्यक्तिमत्त्व असलेल्या मुंबईला 1973 मध्ये,  2005ध्ये तसेच 26/11 रोजी ग्रहण लागले. अनेक निष्पाप लोकांना काळाने कवटाळले. आंतकवाद्यांचा नायनाट करण्यासाठी अनेक पोलिस प्राणपणाने लढले. अशी बिकट परिस्थिती ओढवलेली असतानादेखील मुंबई आपल्या पायांवर उभी राहिली.
मुंबई विकासाच्या दृष्टीने वाटचाल करतच आहे. मात्र प्रत्येक मुंबईकराच्या मनात एक खंत राहील ती म्हणजे मुंबई जरी भारताची आर्थिक राजधानी असली तरीही या मुंबईत आशियातील सर्वात मोठी झोपडपट्टी म्हणजे धारावी आहे. मुंबईच्या आर्थिक विकासात आणि सामाजिक विकासातही अडथळा आणणारे धारावी, मुंबईची वाढती लोकसंख्या, अस्वच्छता, भ्रष्टाचार, ढासळणारा पर्यावरणाचा असमतोल हे मुख्य घटक आहेत. या घटकांवर मात करण्यासाठी सर्व जनतेचा सहभाग आणि पाठिंबा असणे आवश्यक आहे.
यावरुन गोष्ट आठवते ती शेतकरी आणि त्याच्या चार मुलांची. शेतकरी आपल्या प्रत्येक मुलाला एक काठी देतो आणि त्याचे तुकडे करायला सांगतो. पहिल्यांदा काठीचे तुकडे होतात. दुस-यांदा होतात. मात्र जेव्हा काठ्यांचे चार तुकडे होतात तेव्हा मात्र ती काठी अजुन तोडू शकत नाही. शेवटी म्हणतात ना एकी हेच बळ त्याचप्रमाणे जेव्हा सारे मुंबईकर एकत्र येतील तेव्हाच आपल्यापुढील बिकट समस्या आपण सोडवू शकू.
यामुळे आपण सर्व मुंबईकर एकत्र येऊया आणि विकसनशील मुंबईला विकसित करूया. शिक्षण पूर्ण झाल्यावर परदेशी न जाता मुंबईतच राहूया? अशी प्रतिज्ञा आपण केली पाहिजे.
मुंबईला शांघाय म्हणतात. कोणत्यातरी शहराची उपमा आपल्या मुंबईला दिलेली कोणालाच आवडणार नाही. यामुळे आपण मुंबईची स्वत:ची ओळख जगात निर्माण करूया. आपल्याला मिळालेल्या ऐतिहासिक वारशाचे जतन करुया. ‘कल करेसो आज, आज करेसो अब’ याप्रमाणे आतापासूनच या कामाची सुरुवात करूया!!!

आपले तन, मन, धन अर्पून घाम गाळून

पदरमोड करुन या त्यागमूर्तीनी उभी केली

छोटीशी कौलारु शाळा

हळुहळु सोयी सुविधा निर्माण करत

उभी केली मोठी शाळा

दहिसरवासी गरीब, श्रीमंत सर्वच मातापित्यांची

त्यांच्या मुलाबाळांची चिंता दूर केली

प्रयत्नाला त्यांच्या घवघवीत यश शाळेतील

मुलांनी सर्वच क्षेत्रात प्रगति करुन दिले नि

त्यागमूर्तीना शाळा बांधल्याचे समाधान लाभले

यशाची ही परंपरा पुढेही बालमित्रांनो या सरस्वतीच्या

मंदिरात तुम्ही अविरत चालू ठेवा

दहिसर विद्यामंदिर शाळेत विद्याजर्नाचे ज्ञानदानाचे

पवित्र कार्य पवित्र भावनेने अखंड चालू ठेवा

कितीही मोठे झालात तरी शाळेला विसरु नका

शाळेची आठवण सदैव ठेवा

शाळेचे नाव जगात मोठे करा

The Annual Gathering 2009

The Annual Gathering of Marathi and English Secondary Section was held on 14th,15th and 16th,17th Dec. respectively at Dahisar Sports Foundation hall. Maximum students participated in various cultural programmes. After three years , we enjoyed this gathering. It was pleasant surprise for our children.
